About Kilimanjaro glaciers
Hemingway wrote The Snows of Kilimanjaro in 1936. The glaciers have lost 85% of their area since 1912. Expected to disappear by 2040. Ice cores show 11,700 years of continuous ice. The loss is primarily from sublimation, not melting.
