About Patagonia Icefields
The third largest ice body after Antarctica and Greenland. Split into Northern (4,200 km2) and Southern (13,000 km2) ice fields. Contains 48 major outlet glaciers. Most are retreating rapidly. Torres del Paine and Los Glaciares National Parks protect them.
